Looking for Good

How much energy are you devoting to "worshiping" the beast of negativity in your life? Do you pray, affirming good, affirming peace and Life and health and abundance, and then re-tell your tales of woe to anyone who will listen? Unity co-founder Myrtle Fillmore explicitly counsels us against this in her Healing Letters:

Interbeing, Wholeness, Easter, and Purpose

This week's lovely, warm weather allowed me to enjoy my first outdoor sunrise of the year, listening to bird-songs and watching spring emerge. The fairy duster plant is attracting its primary pollinators, bees and hummingbirds. This brings to my mind the word Thich Nhat Hanh uses to explain Wholeness: Interbeing, the concept that we are all One.
Even in awareness of our spiritual nature, we sometimes describe ourselves as separate, as though we are separated puzzle pieces, strewn about the Universe, trying to make ourselves fit back in.

Living As If...

One of the things my very first Unity teacher frequently says when she has an idea to share with me is, "... but I'm not sure it's necessarily a Divine Idea". This is her way of indicating that she isn't certain whether the idea originated in the realm of Divine Mind, or in her egoic, human-based mind.

My Prayer for today...

"Today I choose to receive and appreciate love and abundance on the spiritual plane,
where everything I truly desire can be found. I will seize every opportunity to quietly and privately give patience, gratitude, love, and abundance from my heart, knowing that my rewards will be great in the rich joys of Spirit. I Am Thankful!"
