10/14/2018 Myrtle's Practices #2: Know God (The Golden Key)
We had audio difficulties during the first part of the lesson. The part not recorded introduces Myrt'e Fillmore's practice of turning away from our challenges and knowing instead that God - Spirit - Universal Mind- is ALWAYS present in every situation. This is basically the same message that Emmet Fox shared in his well-known essay, The Golden Key. That is: Whatever the problem, situation, or circumstance, if you will turn away from the problem and think about God instead, the problem will be resolved. It may not be instantaneous, but it might. It's up to us, however, to actually practice the practice!
10/07/2018 Myrtle's Practices #1: Expect the Best of Others (Loving Kindness)
While she didn't use the term "Loving Kindness Meditation" for what she advocated, that is what we would know this as. When we think of someone we consider to be "other" or "enemy" or anything "less than" part of our own Oneness, our practice is to become still, focus all of our kindness and love on them, and know the Truth of them, which is Love, Light, Good-without-opposite. We do no one any favors if we consider others to be outside of our circle of Good. We must expect the best of ALL people, and - as Myrtle reminded us - as we are able to do that, we enable them to see themselves in that Light of Goodness.
09/30/2018 - Myrtle Fillmore on Subconsciousness
Continuing our focus on Unity co-founder Myrtle Fillmore's wisdom, we look at the need to overcome the default programming of our subconsciousness. As she said, most of us are very well-trained in the ways of the outer, material world, and it take not only the big "a-ha" moment, but the willingness to diligently work with that new understanding.

09/16/2018 - Your Problems Do Not Exist Except in Mind
Sometimes we hear something and just don't want it to be true... That was Rev. Nita's response when she first heard a quote attribruted to Unity co-founder Myrtle Fillmore implying that the only problems we have are those we create in our own minds. Ultimately, it seems that Myrtle was once again completely on point.
09/09/2018 Myrtle Fillmore - Cultivating Joy
We've been looking at the words of Myrtle Fillmore this summer, and today, we continue by investing time to explore her instructions around cultivating (and radiating) joy.
09/02/2018 Myrtle Fillmore on Prayer- Don't Send Them Out!
Unity co-founder Myrtle Fillmore reminds us that when we pray, we are never to "send our prayers out", because.... as she says, "Who would there be to receive them". We are to become still, and know Truth within.
08/26/2018 Square Pegs and Round Holes
We each have work to do in the world; some of that work looks like work, and some of it is simply doing whatever it is that makes your soul sing. Myrtle Fillmore's suggestion was that if we feel like square pegs in round holes, we need to do whatever we need to do to find our proper place- it's not good to "rattle around". Many of us have put off doing those things we feel especially drawn to... if not now, when?
08/19/2018 Be Still... and Forgive
This week, our focus from Unity co-founder Myrtle Fillmore revolves around forgiveness. It's not optional. We all know we need to forgive, but the how-to can be difficult. One thing we can each do is simply bring willingness to stillness. We may need to do it over, and over, and over again, but it really is necessary, and ultimately our practice of stillness and willingness will bear fruit.
08/12/2018 Helping Others
As we continue looking at our spiritual path with wisdom shared by Unity co-founder Myrtle Fillmore, we are reminded that the best way we can help others is to know their Divinity. If we consider them to be "evil" or "undesireable", we only increase our own misery, and keep them in their state of error. If we know the very best about them, we call that innate Good forth.
